When I'm not busy designing, I love to pick up my iPad and draw whatever inspires me.
Though it may not be outstanding art, it's something I'm proud of and hope to keep as a benchmark of my skills.
Enjoy.
'Amelia Earhart'
One of my first pieces made. The idea was to create a vast space with little to no detail and a small subject centered with significant detail.
If you zoom in, you're able to see individual buttons and the scarf she's wearing.
'Another World'
I don't read a lot of books, but I wish I did because of the way that they're described. So many movies will have dialogue along the lines of
"A book will transport you to another world."
So instead of actually reading, I drew instead.
'A Winter's Walk'
Inspired by Netflix film, Klaus, one of the best Christmas films ever. I spent many hours watching YouTube videos about the art behind Klaus and immediately grabbed my iPad and went for it.
'Into the Sunken Place'
This was a final project for one of my college courses, inspired by the movie Get Out specifically the scene where Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) sinks into the floor. The final project was to show, with a visual presentation, what we think sinking into negative emotions feels like and this was my interpretation.
(The lettering took forever.)
'Keyspensory'
A friend of mine started a keyboard company and needed designs for desk mats that he's selling. He commissioned me to draw something that he may use on a mat. Though the illustration never made it on any of the products, I took it as more of an exercise to practice my art more than anything.
'Lefty, the Rugged Trainer'
This was my first attempt at character design, a field that I have an interest in. A friend had challenged me to create an oringal character that would exist in Riot Games' League of Legends. Thus, Lefty was born.
'I H8 MY JOB'
One campaign I worked on required me to create a landing page with a 'girlpunk' theme. This was one illustration that I drew to compliment the landing page.
